British Touring Car Championship, Knockhill Circuit, Fife, Scotland

Was lucky enough to go see a fullday of motorsport action at the Knockhill Racing Circuit, just outside Dunfermline, Scotland.
Like I said a fullday including all this: 3 rounds of the BTCC (British Touring Car Championships), Porsche Carrera Cup, MSA Formula (junior Formula Ford), Ginette GT Supercup (and junior Ginette Cup), Clio Cup.
Weather turned out to be pretty good, especially for Scotland, and with it being only a short circuit (a lap was little less than a minute), there are good views all around the circuit.  Here is a pick of the photos from the action:

Glasgow, Scotland

Had a quick day trip to see Glasgow yesterday, not a huge amount of time to look around, but walked around the city centre taking in George Square and the City Chambers Building:
But the real reason for going to Glasgow was football, thanks to some free tickets from my friend, an Azerbaijani student, we were going to watch Celtic V. Qarabag

Despite Qarabag battling hard, Celtic did grab a winner in the last 10 minutes to lead 1-0 ahead of the 2nd leg in Azerbaijan next week, not sure il make it to that match though.
Heres the highstreet in glasgow, which was soon deserted of a night time, as we walked back to get the bus back to Edinburgh.

The Open Championship, St Andrews, Scotland

The Open Golf Championship was played up at the home of golf this year, at the Royal & Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews.  Having been disrupted by bad weather over the weekend, the final round had to be played on the monday, leading to cheap tickets and the chance for me to go and watch the golf.  Here is a few shots of the course and the action:
The views up the 18th and 1st fairways to the 18th green, 1st tee and clubhouse.

The eventual winner, Zach Johnson, winning after a playoff between the 3 tied leaders, putting here:

Jurassic Coast, Southwest England

Shown above is the Durdle Door near Lulworth in Dorset, a natural feature in the limestone rocks, as last week was spent visiting outcrops along the coast for a university fieldtrip and taking in the beaches and coastline. Below is Lulworth Cove.
